Happy Birthday to the Beat Legend, J Dilla! Rest In Peace, Jay Dee.

Here is a new mixtape I put together in tribute to Dilla. With this concept, I took some of my favorite tracks from my past two Dilla mix tapes I did a few years ago and added some other tracks. Beats, Rhymes & Donuts: Deluxe Edition has the best of the previous mixes, but it is practically “another batch” of Dilla joints all mixed in this hour long set! As we celebrate the life and music of James “J Dilla” Yancey, enjoy this mixtape and share it!

NEW RELEASE! J Dilla - Jay Stay Paid

The Hip-Hop Legend J Dilla (aka Jay Dee) has dropped another new album! Mr. James Yancey (Dilla) past away in February of 2006 due to the cancer Lopus. This new album is mostly another collection of his unreleased beat instrumentals and includes a few featured guest MCs like MF Doom, MOP, Raekwon, and more. Plus it includes the single "Reality TV" with Black Thought, which was played on The Mix Lab Podcast.

This release was made possible by Dilla's mama, "Ma Dukes" Yancey. Pete Rock contributes in this piece to mix the album & tracks. For those who are craving for another dose of them Dilla donuts, here it is! Its now in stores or for download purchase. So enjoy & God bless!

I copped this album over a week ago. This one got some tight beats! It has that Dilla sound to it but with a twist of Madlib. Almost like Jaylib reunited to bring us another dosage of donuts! Of course it may depend on how you take in this album, but I just wanted to drop my 2 cents on this.
